Multi disciplinary craft installation created with woven wheel stitch techniques to enhance the background details. The foreground is created with meticulous variations of the back stitch - A versatile traditional technique worked from right to left and stitched backward to the previous stitch. The other techniques used in the installation include couching, fine needle zardosi work to create a Sfumato effect - A technique of allowing tones and colours to shade gradually into one another, producing softened outlines or hazy forms.
