About
this artwork

Multi disciplinary craft installation crafted with stem stitch variations along with other traditonal techniques like split and seed stitches. The other techniques used in the installation include couching, fine needle zardosi work to create a Sfumato effect - A technique of allowing tones and colours to shade gradually into one another, producing softened outlines or hazy forms. The ritualistic ropes of the temples have been created by hand using a mix of cotton, silk, jute and linen threads with cording and knotting techniques.
